Exponential approach to the hydrodynamic attractor in Yang-Mills kinetic theory

We use principal component analysis to study the hydrodynamic attractor in Yang-Mills kinetic theory undergoing Bjorken expansion with Color Glass Condensate initial conditions. The late time is characterized by a single determining overall energy scale. How it reached governed disappearance of subleading characterizing deviations pressure anisotropy, screening mass and scattering rate. find that for wide range couplings approach at times well described an exponential. Its decay rate dependence on coupling turns out translate into simple shear viscosity entropy density ratio.

The vacuum wave functional of Coulomb gauge Yang-Mills theory is determined within the vari-ational principle and used to calculate various Green functions and observables. The results show that heavy quarks are confined by a linearly rising potential and gluons cannot propagate over large distances. The 't Hooft loop shows a perimeter law and thus also indicates confinement.
